It's really been a fun couple of months. Mommy and Daddy went to Hawaii for two weeks so I got to stay with my friend Bruno. He is a black dachsund. We had a lot of fun running around together, wrestling, sniffing and just getting into trouble. Bruno's mommy said that they had to put something on top of the chair in the living room because we were getting so rowdy wrestling in it that they were afraid we'd rip it to shreds! Well, I had a lot of fun over there that I hardly missed Mommy and Daddy. Of course, I was very happy to see them when they got back from their trip and was quite content to be king of my castle again.
Halloween came and went and I only had to suffer the humiliation of wearing a costume for a short while. About 165 kids came to the house. Of course, they were excited to see me and some of them even walked into the house to get a closer look. What can I say? I seem to cause a stir whatever the occasion.
Mommy's friend Beth also came to visit which I love because she rubs my chin and my ears just like I like it. She and Mommy went canvassing for the elections and I got to wear my own Obama button on my collar. Just doing my part for the country.
This past weekend, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. That always makes me really happy since Grandma will pet me endlessly. I get to go see them again for Christmas. I can hardly wait to get all that attention and open presents. I wonder if I will get some new toys? I love to play, although my snowman is still my favorite. Even if his white fur has turned gray and he has lost his arm, scarf and hat. And part of his guts. But I don't care. He's mine, all mine!
There is a new doggy daycare opening downtown so we went to the opening house. As expected, everyone adored me. I had my picture taken with Santa and got some free treats and other goodies. Daddy thought I might like to go there from time to time during the day to play with some other dogs. Otherwise, I just stay in the crate at home. I think it might be fun, but only if I get pet a lot. A dog can only hope...
