I've led quite a life and traveled many places. The latest stop seems to be with two humans who adore me. I wonder if I get to stay here or where I'll get shipped next. In any case, they adore me and you will, too. Bow to me!

Doggie Playtime

So, apparently, Mommy and Daddy think that I need to get more exercise. When I go out in the yard or on a walk, I am more interested in sniffing around than walking briskly. What can I say? I would rather pick up some new scents (and possibly some carelessly discarded bits of food on the ground) than run up and down the street. So last week, Daddy took me to the Doggie Boardwalk downtown so I could spend the day running around with other dogs, playing and getting some exercise. It was pretty fun and I was worn out by the end of the day. They even give us nap time from 12-2pm but I was still tired. I liked meeting the other dogs and playing but what I really liked was getting pet by the workers and sitting on their laps. I know that doesn't burn as many calories, but I know what I like.

We had some people over for the 4th of July which meant I got extra attention, which is always nice. Mommy and Daddy had a cook out on the patio while I lurked around the grill, hoping something would fall. Well, my prayers were answered when one of the turkey brats popped and leaped right off the grill onto the ground! I pounced on it but it was so hot, I recoiled. I tried licking it for a while and waiting but I got impatient. I started to nibble on it but didn't get far since it was still hot. Lori tried to take it from me to let it cool but I got worried that I wouldn't get it back, so I swallowed it whole (about 3/4 was left) instead. Maybe not that smartest move, but I got to eat it right? My esophagus is still burning. But isn't that what Independence Day is all about?
