I'm broken
I have been a little busy lately. For a while, I was busy lying on the couch and chewing on my foot and taking naps. But at my last check-up, the doctor said that one of my hips was a little stiff and that I probably had arthritis. So, last week when I went in for my annual teeth cleaning, while I was under anesthesia, they X-rayed my hips. And apparently, I am broken. They couldn't stretch out my right hip very well. The X-rays showed that I have had a couple pelvic fractures which were never fixed. Either someone was really mean to me or I was in an accident, but in either case, no one felt the need to fix me so they had to heal on their own and left some bone scars. I'm glad I don't remember any of this. I'm sure it was scary at the time. So now I have to take glucosamine chondroitin and may need anti-inflammatories in the future.
Mommy also felt a little lump on my side when she was petting me one day so they put a needle in it while I was under and took a little bit. The results showed it might be malignant so Wednesday I went under the knife and they took it out and sent it for biopsy. You should see how pitiful I look. I have one shaved leg from the IV for the teeth cleaning last week, another shaved leg for the IV for the biopsy this week, and a half-shaved belly with a 2-inch incision where they took the growth off. Now I can't run and play for 10 days til they take the stitches out so I don't accidentally rip them. Which means that Mommy and Daddy won't play with me and my bear. I just hope that when the results come back, it's good news. I dodged cancer once, hopefully I can do it again. And I can't wait to run and play with my bear again!
