I've led quite a life and traveled many places. The latest stop seems to be with two humans who adore me. I wonder if I get to stay here or where I'll get shipped next. In any case, they adore me and you will, too. Bow to me!

Come on, Spring!!

Winter sucks. It seems to go on forever, even though it's not longer than usual. But I want to go outside and frolic and sniff things and stuff and the cold wetness outside is making that impossible. We had a couple of warmer days this week and I got to go out for a walk. I was so excited I could barely wait to go outside before I peed (don't worry, I waited). But Mommy and Daddy have been a little frustrated the past couple times we've been out. When I go on a walk, my nose is constantly to the ground. There are so many exciting things to smell, like other dogs, other people, mysterious scents around trees and lightposts and food! That is what makes them mad. There are a lot of people that walk through the neighborhood and thoughtlessly (but I don't mind!) throw uneaten bits of food on the ground like a small piece of chicken or other unidentifiable parts. Now, I can't help it if my nose picks up these little morsels of goodness. I smell them and snap them up before Mommy and Daddy can even tell what's going on. Then the struggle begins. One of them holds my head while the other tries to pry my jaws of life open. And I am good at clamping down! The last time it happened with a grisly bit of chicken, it took them a good five minutes to get my jaw open. They say they don't want me to get sick or choke on a bone. They overreact. It's free food, man! Well, they eventually got it out but Mommy's leather gloves got a little dirty and greasy and she tried to clean them by rubbing them in the snow. See what you get when you try to prevent a dog from getting a snack? Let's just hope they learned their lesson. Until then, I will keep my nose to the ground and my eyes on the (yummy) prize.
