I've led quite a life and traveled many places. The latest stop seems to be with two humans who adore me. I wonder if I get to stay here or where I'll get shipped next. In any case, they adore me and you will, too. Bow to me!

Skyrockets in flight, weekend delite

Last Thurs Mommy and Daddy we getting ready to leave but instead of distracting me with a cookie and then running out the door as usual, they took me with them! Apparently, they were on their way to Chicago to do some things and someone needed to watch me so they dropped my off at grandma's and grandpa's on the way (I refuse to say "grammy" and "papa." Since when did this crap replace saying good ol' grandma and grandpa? Geesh.) for 2 whole days! I was even on my best behavior and didn't cause any major riots. Friday morning, Grandpa had the day off and was going to John's to help him tile his bathroom so they took me with. I got to play with Camryn while they worked and basically hung out all day. Then Grandma took me for a ride in the car with the girls and they freaked out when I let out a tiny little fart. Geez, you would have thought I had brought a month-old dead body into the car. It can't be that bad, people. Princesses. I even lucked out because while Camryn was eating her peanut butter sandwich and Doritos she let her guard down for a second which is when I struck and snatched it away from her. Quite a nice little snack. Yum! When I first arrived, I immediately smelled something in the kitchen. I knew it was on top of the dining room table but I wasn't sure what it was. All I knew was that I needed to get to it. Fortunately, Grandpa had left a chair slightly pulled out (suckers! When will they ever learn?) which I immediately took advantage of. Pretty soon I was up on the table and *cha-ching!* had found a peanut butter cup pristinely wrapped. Did they actually think that I wouldn't smell it just because it was vacuum-wrapped? Please. I'm a beagle. Anyway, I was almost into the wrapper when my plans were foiled (get it?) when Grandpa came down the stairs and saw me. He tried to get it away from him but I held on for dear life. That's how Mommy found us, at a stalemate, me lying on my side desperately holding on to the candy and Grandpa trying to pull it from me but not wanting to be too rough. Unfortunately, Mommy has no problem being rough and just yanked at it, pulling me up off the ground until I had to let go. But I showed them. I was able to tear a tiny piece of the wrapper off and chewed on it for a while.

I've been on many walks recently and have been able to check out some new streets in our neighborhood. I've learned that there are a lot of dogs that live around us, but none as cool as me. For some reason, they all get spastic when they see me but I just ignore them and keep on sniffin'. A pasha knows when to play aloof. It just makes them all that more crazy. hee hee
